2013 Forest Hills Northern Girls Soccer Coaching Staff
Jamie Bogart - Head Coach (8th Year)
In Spring of 2013, Head Coach Jamie Bogart will enter his eighth overall year with the Forest Hills Northern girls soccer program, to which he has been the head girls coach for the past six seasons. Coach Bogart spent three seasons as the boys varsity head coach at FHN from 2006-2008. Coach Bogart is currently the boys JV coach here at FHN. Before coming to FHN, Coach Bogart spent four years at Cedar Springs High School where he was the Varsity Boys coach for three seasons and the JV Boys coach for one season. Coach Bogart also assisted with the Varsity Girls program at Cedar Springs for three seasons and spent one season as an assistant coach with the JV girls at Grand Rapids Northview High School.
While at Forest Hills Northern, Coach Bogart has helped guide the girls soccer program to 125 wins, 36 losses and 14 ties. Coach Bogart has compiled a 113-31-12 record as the head coach from 2007 to 2012 and a record of 29 wins, 29 losses and 3 ties as the boys head coach. Under coach Bogart, the FHN girls program has won four MHSAA Division 2 District Championships a Regional Championship and was the Division 2 state runners up in 2010. Coach Bogart was also named a Michigan High School Soccer Coaches Association District Coach of the year in 2007,2009 & 2010. Coach Bogart was also named a 2010 Regional Coach of the year and was selected by his peers as the 2010 Division 2 Public School Coach of the Year. Coach Bogart was nominated by the Michigan High School Soccer Coaches Association to represent Michigan with the Small School National Coach of the Year Nomination.
During his head coaching career, Coach Bogart has coached 57 first team all-conference selections and 19 all-conference honorable mention selections. Coach Bogart has also coached 27 all-state team selections and has sent 24 players on to play in college.
Away from FHN, Coach Bogart has organized and run successfully six Coaches vs. Cancer Soccer Classic and High School Showcase events in which he has helped raise over thirty thousand dollars for the American Cancer Society.
Coach Bogart currently resides in Grand Rapids Michigan and works for Rockford Public Schools through Special Services as a Para-professional. Coach Bogart also own's and opperates Higher Ground Soccer Training.

Dave Saylor - JV Head Coach (5th Year)
Entering his 5th season as the Forest Hills Northern JV head coach, Coach Saylor is also the Current Men's Varsity Soccer coach at Grandville High school were he has coached for the past seven years. In the seven years with the Grandville Varsity team Coach Saylor has posted 2 of the schools 3 winning seasons in the history of the program. Coach Saylor also has coached Grandville Boy's and Girl's JV one season each, Freshmen Girls at Jenison for one season, U-9 Girls team with West Michigan FIRE for one year, and while in school at Western Michigan University was the WMU Women's Club Soccer head coach for 2 years. Coach Saylor currently holds a United States Soccer Federation D coaching license and is working towards his C.
On a personal note coach Saylor graduated High School from East Kentwood in 1997 went to WMU where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Bus. / Industrial Tech Education in 2002 and a Masters degree in Career & Technical Ed at Western Michigan University 2008. Coach Saylor is currently a High School Teacher at Grandville High school where he has taught Business and Industrial Tech Classes for the past 7 years. Coach Saylor was married in June of 2011. He and his wife Michelle live in the Grand Rapids area and have a newborn son.

Dave Gillem - Asst. Coach Defense (7th Year)
Entering his seventh year with the Forest Hills Northern girls soccer program, Coach Gillem has previously coached boys soccer for five years at Tri-Unity Christian high school and spent six years with the girls program at Grandville high school. Here at Northern, coach Gillem has helped guide the Huskies to three MHSAA Division 2 District Championships a Regional Championship and a State Runner Up finish in 2010. Coach Gillem has helped FHN to an overall record of 94 wins 27 losses and 11 ties over the past four seasons.
As a player, Coach Gillem was a four time all-conference selection at Tri-Unity Christian High School. It was at Tri-Unity that coach Gillem earned first team all-state honors in his senior season. Mike Hagan - Asst. Coach (3rd Year)
In the Spring of 2013, Coach Hagan will enter his 3rd year on the Huskies coaching staff. Mike will once again help the Huskies on the offensive side of the ball with a focus on forwards and outside mids.

Matt Coty - Asst. Coach (1st Year - *4th overall year)
In the Spring of 2013, Coach Coty will enter his 1st year as an assistant coach under head coach Jamie Bogart. Matt was key in starting the girl's soccer program here at Forest Hills Northern. Matt was the head coach from 1991 to 1993.
Matt will be a key addition to the coaching staff and help develop players at the sub varsity level and mainly work with the freshman team.
